First lesson back from the holidays, new teacher, new start I guess. An introduction was given of this course pretty much, thinking of whom to work with for the group film for the coursework. Also starting to name names to those in the media industry and also the regulations concept. We studied a bit about the PCC (public complaints commission) this is where you have to go to make a formal complaint to a newspaper/magazine. One case was about the news of the world hacking into Milly Dowler’s phone giving false hope to her mother; this complaint was taken so seriously that news of the world was actually closed in July 2011 after 168 years in circulation.
